Zettai Kareshi 1 New Watase Manga, here we go!!! Riiko, a young schoolgirl hurries up on this morning to catch up with the guy she loves , Ichizeki, to confess her love to him. She reaches him at the bus station, but he dumps her, he has another girl he likes. After that Riiko is really down, since she really wants to have a boyfriend and she always gets dumped. On her way home, she finds a mobile phone lying on the floor and she answers an incoming call. It's from the owner of the mobile phone and he seems to be very happy that Riiko found his phone. They meet up and it turns out that the man is a really strange looking guy. It turns out that this man is selling stuff and he says he will fulfil Riiko a wish for getting his mobile phone back. Riiko says all she wants is a boyfriend and the man says "if that's the only thing" and gives her a card with an internet url and calls her Riiko-chan. Riiko is surprised about that, because she never told him her name. In the evening, she goes online and sees that this site is called "Lover Shop" and she can order dolls there who look and act human, so she orders a real cute guy for a three days free trial. On the next day in the morning, two guys come with a big package. When Riiko opens it, she sees it's the figure she ordered the last night. She looks up in the introduction how to start this figure and it says she has to kiss him on the lips and so she does. Suddenly the figure moves, the boy smiles and says hi to his "girlfriend". Riiko can't believe what just happened and tells Naito (man, he's really darn cute) to put on some clothes. Suddenly her childhood friend Shoushi is ringing. He finds Riiko's strange behaviour kinda suspicious, but Riiko sends him home again. After Soushi is gone the bishonen doll starts another "sexual attack", but Riiko says she only wants to do this with the person she loves and the guy says he will do whatever his girlfriend wants. Riiko then decides to give him the name "Naito" because he's from the "nightly lover series" (I know that it's more likely that his name is "Night", but in Katakana it's written as "Naito" and I always use the written way when names are in Katakana and here it's the same. And I like "Naito"^^). After school, Riiko buys clothes for Naito and on her way home she overhears Ishizeki and some friends talking about how he rejected her. She follows them into a café. At the same time, Naito finds clothes that were send with the package and leaves the house for Riiko. In front of his friends, Ishizeki is making fun of Riiko because she was accidentially caring a bra when she confessed to him and they say she must be a whore, when Riiko stands up and throws water into Ishizeki's face. They comment on what kind of stalker she is and Riiko is unable to say anything and almost starts crying. Suddenly Naito appears from behind and hugs Riiko. He says how dare they make his girlfriend cry and beats Ishizeki up and leaves with Riiko. The waiter from this restaurant, who listened to the whole thing all the time, helps Ishizeki up. Right then he gives him another smack across the face. When he puts on his glasses, we see that it's Shoushi, who is wondering who this guy just was. Riiko is lying on her bed and is really down and Naito realizes this. On the next morning he wants to cheer her up and they go on a date. Later Riiko bumps into a boy and her mobile phone with the picture of Ishizeki is about to fall down a bridge, but Naito jumps and catches the mobile phone. People are staring at them and Riiko realizes how extraordinary he is. He realizes Riiko is very happy now and says he always wants to see Riiko's smiling face, 'cause it's very cute. The next day is the day when Riiko has to return Naito, since she can only have it for three days. However the strange salary man comes up and thanks Riiko for buying Naito. She says she wants to give him back, but the salary man says she didn't quit the purchase soon enough so now she bought him, and by the way it's only 1000 000 000 yen (this should be about USD 10 Mio). Riiko of course is shocked and the salary man says he's that expensive because Riiko took so many options (like his good looks, being cool, a good cook, being strong etc). Riiko says she doesn't have the money and the salary man says she has to pay within 3 days. Riiko now doesn't know what to do and Naito of course realizes this. On the next day at school she asks her friend Mika how she could earn a lot of money in a short time and Mika says it would be with selling her body. Soushi come and comments on how nobody would pay for Riiko's body. ^^; Then they ask her why she needs money and she says she ordered something, but it's a secret. Later, she's really going to an interview and Naito also appears there^^. He says he wants to support Riiko and both get hired and now they are working at a club for USD100 per night. Riiko dresses as catgirl and Naito goes as maid (he has to pretend to be a woman) and Riiko realizes he's even hot as a girl. However, when some drunk guy tries to remove Riikos clothes later, Naito freaks out and his cover blows up, so they lose the job. Naito apologizes but Riiko says it's okay. The whole thing bothers Naito and he says he's sorry for causing her troubles and it's all because of him. They are about to kiss when they are interrupted by Gaku, the salary man. He says he is impressed about them and he has a deal for Riiko. She doesn't have to pay and can keep Naito, but he has to collect date/information from girl and also from Riiko. He also explains the system behin the ring that Naito is wearing, that can realize a girl's feeling, for example by changing colors when she is happy or sad etc. Riiko isn't that happy about the whole data thing but she agrees since she doesn't have any money to pay Gaku. On their way home, Naito says he is happy that he can stay with Riiko and stuff and they hug, when suddenly Riiko spots Shoushi, who sees them hugging. Riiko wants to stop him, but Soushi just leaves without saying anything. Naito says just now the ring turned black, which means that Riiko is sad, but Riiko of course says that can't be. In the evening, Soushi's brother asks Soushi about Riiko and his mood gets very bad. He tells him Riiko got herself a guy and his brother says they should invite Riiko over for dinner. Riiko says okay and tells Naito he has to stay at home and he isn't too happy about that. Riiko goes over to Soushi's place and his brother suddenly makes an excuse, he has to go away (actually he wants them to be alone^^). The situation is pretty awkward and they start a discussion over Naito and Riiko says this is none of Soushi's business, which hurts him a lot. Riiko says she leave and they are fighting over who will carry the dishes away when a plate fall down and scratches Riikos leg. Soushi and Riiko are in a kind of intimate position and Riiko gets very excited, when suddenly Naito breaks the balcony window and punches Soushi for hurting his girlfriend. They leave and Soushi wonders again who this guy is. At home, Naito says he also wants to be Riiko's classmate (like Soushi) and Gaku who suddenly comes up says that's a great opportunity to get data. Riiko says it's okay, but they have to stay away from each other, because nobody should find out that they are living together. At school, Naito of course catches attention of everybody because he's so smart and cool and talented and so on. During PE class, Soushi goes to Naito and says he should stop flirting with the girls (he's only getting data), because isn't Riiko his girlfriend?! Naito says she is, but then she remembers that they have to keep this a secret and he says he's gathering data from the girls and Soushi is like O_o. When he turns around, Soushi is shocked to see a barcode behind Naito's left ear. Later Naito waits for Riiko and says he misses her and they have a moment together, until Ishizeki comes with some bad looking guys. He says Riiko really is a whore, like rumours say, because she got herself another guy right after being rejected. Ishizeki wants to take revenge for the last time, but Naito beats the guys and Ishizeki up. Ishizeki runs away and says to someone that Naito really is strong. This someone is Mika, Riiko's "best friend" and she says Ishizeki is weak and she doesn't need him any longer. She's only interested in things that belong to other people. What is Sanae thinking about Zettai Kareshi vol 1? This is a great, great series so far. Okay now, don't get me wrong, but compared to her old Manga, the new Yuu Watase plots are kinda… shallow. But that's okay, I like those Manga more anyway. And Zettai Kareshi really is a cool Manga with two really nice bishonen. It's really rare to have such a guy in a Manga, but Naito is that kind of Bishonen who makes you think "Aaaaawww, he is sooo cute, look how cute he is in this scene." Really, look at page 43 where he is covering his eyes with his hands or at page 103, where Gaku explains how much 1000 000 000 yen are and Naito is so happy that he's worth so much money. It's really priceless. I love Soushi too. He's a Bishonen and very cool, because he is caring and he loves Riiko a lot.
