Aishiteruze Baby 3 On the first page we see Yuzuyu's mum looking at a picture of her daughter, it seems as if she's missing her very much. On the next day, she passes a playground where she sees Yuzuyu's kindergarten group and of course also her little daughter. She stares at her. When she sees her smiling, tears fill her eyes. An obaa-san sees this and later tells Kippei about it and says he should watch out. Kippei wonders who this person might have been, when he sees Yuzu's mum dropping her bag. He helps her picking up her stuff and when he's looking at her, he recognizes her. It turns out her name is Miyako and he asks her what she's doing her, but she feels very insecure in front of Kippei. Miyako says she's glad to see Yuzu so happy, but Kippei can't bring her to meet Yuzu and so Miyako runs away. Later Kippei and Yuzuya go home and when the train crosses their way, Miyako's (who's inside the train) and Yuzuyu's eyes meet. The next event is Yuzuyu getting to know Shotaru, a very cute boy at her kindergarten, who helps her with a band aid when she hurts herself. He is very cute and says he knows her, she's Yuzuyu, the girl who always gets picked up by her cool big brother ^^. When he leaves Yuzuyu smiles happily. At school, a girl asks Kippei out to a restaurant, but he refuses. She begs him to come with her and hangs on his back, when suddenly Kokoro comes up and sees it and even drops her water bottle. Kippei runs after her and says this was a misunderstanding. Kokoro then starts talking about their relationship and gets tears in her eyes. She quickly leaves and asks herself in horror what the hell she was just doing. Kippei goes after her and says he loves Kokoro the most and they hug. Kippei wants to kiss her, but she pushes him away. When her friends pick her uo she's heavily blushing. Yuzuru is playing with Shoda again and they go to drink some water. Shoda's shirt gets a little wet and when he lifts it up, Yuzu sees bruises on his body. She asks what it is and he freaks and says this happened with his skateboard. Later we learn that his mother abuses his and his parents don't have the best relationship. Yuzu meets him with Kippei in the park and he is holding his arm (where he just got hit). He says everything is all right and leaves and Kippei looks after him. There is this event where the parents are invited to the kindergarten and Kippei is staring at Shoda's mum. She herself gets very mad at Shoda later because he's playing around and not seriously working like the other kids do. She takes Shoda and hits him around a corner and Yuzu sees everything. She cries and tells Kippei what she just saw. I don't want to summaries the whole thing, but Kippei starts arguing with Shoda's mum and it ends with Shoda's mum leaving and Shoda, who defended his mum all the time, running after her. At school Kokoro asks Kippei what's up and Kippei is thinking about the latest happenings (Yuzuyu's mum and Shoda's mum). He starts crying and Kokoro stares at him. They hug. Kippei meets Shoda's mum and he says if this continues, she might be separated from her child. Shoda' mum starts thinking. This evening, Shoda's mum is cooking and Shoda helps her preparing everything. He is very cute (as usual) and his mum is looking at him and cries. This evening they have a nice dinner and everybody seems to be very happy. Later, Shoda tells Yuzuyu that he and his family are leaving and he says farewell to Yuzuyu. Yuzuyu is crying, she lost her first love. (so cute ^^). Kippei gets card for a place called "Hotblue" (swimmingpool) from a girl from his class. Kokoro and her friends see this and one of ther friends asks her who with Kippei I going to the pool and he says it's with Yuzuyu. So Kippei goes to the pool with Yuzuyu, but she doesn't really like learning to swim and she has her problems. Suddenly one of Kokoro's friends is coming up from behind and greets Kippei. We also see Kokoro in her bikini and Kippei freaks out (^^). It turns out that he's also a pretty jealous guy and he ants to hug her, but they can't because Yuzu is staring at them. The rest of they day they hang out together (also only Kokoro and Yuzu) and Yuzu finally manages to lose fear of the water with Kokoro's and Kippei's help. Then when Kippei and Yuzu reach home a strange (but very cool IMHO) girl is waiting for them, pointing a water gun. It turns out that her name is Miki an Yuzuyu already knows her, because she's her cousin. What is Sanae thinking about Aishiteruze Baby vol 3? I have to say it was a pretty cool volume. I liked the Shoda-Yuzuyu storyline a lot, but I think it would have been nice if he could have stayed with Yuzuyu. What a pity! I was kinda disappointed about the few Kokoro and Kippei moments in this book. Hey ,you know how much I love Kokoro ;) There wasn't even a kiss this time. All together, vol 3 wasn't as good as 1 and especially 2, but it was still really good. Back
